Down Roses

We're looking forward to welcoming the 2013 Down Roses for a race tonight (Wednesday 10th April).

Formula Karting are long standing supporters of the Armagh and Down Rose selections and we look forward to meeting all of this years County Down candidates!

Formula Cannonball Run 2013

We received a lovely letter this morning (27th March 2013) from Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke in regards to our work with Unity Wedding Cars, Driftkits and Clanrye Taxi's on the Formula Cannonball Run 2013.

"I want to thank you so much for organising the Formula Cannonball Rally, which raised £4324 towards our work. This was a tremendous achievement. I am sure the journey from Newry to Galway in fancy dress and fancy cars was great fun as well as being for such a worthy cause.

You may never meet the people who will benefit from your generosity, so I am writing to express our gratitude on their behalf.

Every penny we receive changes lives for the better. Your gift will bring hope in the face of desolation. Often, hope is what most people need most. But we provide help in practical ways, too, with innovative services and therapies.

We offer support to those suffering from chest, heart and stroke illnesses in every area of Northern Ireland. As more people survive these conditions, the need for our services is greater than ever.

We are, of course, continuing to work to ensure that the curse of heart disease, stoke and lung disease becomes a thing of the past.

We fund research in our universities and hospitals to the tune of hundreds of thousands of pounds each year in the search for better treatments and cures. And our health promotion work with young people aims to prevent illness before it starts.

I want to thank you again for supporting the work of this charity. I hope you will draw some comfort from the fact that your support is changing people's lives.

Easter Scheme at Formula Karting

As the saying goes: "You can't beat an active childhood" so instead of struggling to occupy the kids this Easter break, why not take them down to Formula Karting for our hugely popular Easter Scheme! 

Karting is not only a fun activity but it requires concentration, determination and skill. We also aim to encourage kids to mingle with the other children at the event; fantastic for their social and communication skills!

Round 2 of the Northern Ireland Rally Championship

Round 2 of the Northern Ireland Rally Championship is due to take place this coming Saturday 9th March.

Once again Team Formula Karting will be participating; Peadar Hurson with Damien Connolly in the WRC Ford Escort, Gareth Feenan with Barry Mc Parland in their Ford Escort and Andrew Patterson with Chris Hazeley in another fine Ford Escort!

It's great to be so heavily involved with motor sports and we hope that we continue to gain the support of our customers and friends at these events.

Good Luck to our lads taking part and to all of the other competitors!
